Everything That You Need
Our cabin is stocked and ready to be a retreat for you! We have a fully functional kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms, and a loft, as well as a formal dining area and relaxing living room/den. Outside feature decks, sitting areas, free space to roam, and great viewing for the wildlife!
You'll be greated when you arrive with a comfy couch and keypad door lock. We also have solar light strung up, so you can see if you arrive at night!
Upon entering, you'll arrive straightaway to the open concept kitchen: in the same footprint that is what when the cabin was first built! Take note of the wood burning stove (non-functional) - it was the sole source of heat for the cabin until the 1990s!
Keep walking and this is the view from the formal dining room. Many board games and cookies have been played and eaten at this table!
Off to the side, you'll find a light filled living room/den complete with a gas powered fire place. This is the chair we love to use to curl up with a good book as the fire warms our legs. The fireplace can be tricky to light, so we've provided an instructional video in the amenities page.
The living room, or as we call it, 'Hot Chocolate Consumption Station' is both cozy and inviting. We've streamed our favorite movies and shows after a long day of play outside, and we love to view deer as they stroll by the windows!
Continuing the tour, you'll find the second bedroom at the back of the house. This is actually a converted porch, so it's the least temperature controlled room - which is why we have extra blankets there! You get to watch the sunrise from this room, and we have it equipped with a desk for the people who can work remotely!
Our back porch has a covered side, and uncovered side! The covered side is perfect to have coffee and listen to the rain or watch the snow fall - or escape the sun during lunch on hot summer days! The uncovered portion is our star gazing deck! We are always astounded at how many stars we can see as we relax in the moonlight!

Heading back inside, off the kitchen is the master bedroom! Complete with a queen size bed, we have hangers, a luggage rack, fans, and even a small TV with DVD player!
Off the master is a 3/4 bathroom. It's small, but very functional. Please note that our cabin is 123 years old, and wasn't built with modern plumbing in mind. Despite, this, we've outfitted the retreat, and you should be plenty comfortable!
The final accommodation inside the cabin is our loft! What a cool space, complete with a super fluffy bed, it's the warmest place to sleep. Kids love it, but keep in mind that the stairs to get up to the loft are steep, so it's recommended only people steady on their feet sleep up here!
